New at the Westwood Village Farmers' Market

The Westwood Village Farmers’ Market has some new additional seating. These colorful WVIA branded tables and chairs are a great addition to the already vibrant weekly Westwood Village Farmers’ Market. The weekly Farmers’ Market is every Thursday from Noon to 6 pm on Broxton Avenue.

Our farmers' markets are as festive as they are healthy and green - offering weekly events that families and friends can enjoy together or where busy professionals can dart through for fresh additions to tonight's dinner or pick up a one-of-a-kind item from one of our craft vendors.

It’s fall, which means pumpkins, yams, winter squash, persimmons, apples, broccoli, and brussels sprouts are readily available. Stop by the market to pick up your fresh fruits and vegetables!

Every Thursday: Noon to 6 pm
Location: 1083 Broxton Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90024 (In the Village just steps away from UCLA)
Parking: 2 hours free parking in the Broxton Avenue Structure (before 6pm)

A Slice of Nirvana in Westwood

Nirvana Tea & Herbs, (NTH), brings health and wellness to the Village, one cup of tea at a time. "We wanted to create a space that would bring the community together," said Founder and General Manager, Joe Recsink. Nirvana Tea & Herbs is the perfect place to escape from the hustle and bustle of LA city life. NTH started off with humble beginnings when it was tucked away in the back of  the Westwood Wellness Center. "We wanted to create a space where people could walk off the street, hang out with friends and learn about herbal medicine alternatives in a relax environment."

Nirvana Tea & Herbs is a celebration of life and health. Recsnik background in integrative medicine stems from his training as an acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist. Melding integrative medicine with his love of music, tea and whole body wellness helped him create Nirvana Tea & Herbs.  "While I was doing acupuncture, one of my regular clients asked if I could change the music from the standard "spa" music. Then I started doing that more and more and hearing from other clients that they enjoyed it! Who could deny the healing and health promoting qualities of music? Suddenly the way forward became clear: The missing ingredient to spice up a truly awesome tea & herb shop could only be but one thing: ROCK ‘N ROLL music!"

NTH also serves as a full service herbal pharmacist with customized herbal formula consultations, and acupuncture as an alternative to traditional Western medicines. NTH is a place to buy and drink loose leaf teas, and in addition to buying tea by the ounce, there are a number of tables and chairs for you to sit down and enjoy a good pot of tea.  When you step through the door, you instantly feel welcome. The staff is very friendly, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable about the teas. Whether you are a tea novice or connoisseur, you will be impressed with the service and selection.

Free Wi-Fi is available for customers, as well as a 10 percent discount for UCLA students,  staff, faculty and local Westwood Village employees, making it an ideal yet unconventional study place for students.
