A touch of Aussie Flair in Westwood


Garlo’s Aussie Pie Shop began in 2001 when brothers Nathan and Sean Garlick launched a business in their native Australia that soon produced thousands of meat and veggie pies for sale at markets, hotels, cafes, schools, pubs, and even the Royal Australian Navy pubs.  Nathan and Sean are now bringing their unique product to the States, with their first US location in Westwood Village.

"We always loved Westwood Village, we really wanted our first US location here." Said Sean Garlick. "The reception to Garlo's has been fantastic! We've been consistently busy since we opened. Everyone has been so positive, we are excited and looking forward to what's to come!"

While Sean lives in Sydney, Nathan lives in Westwood so he can keep a close eye on the restaurant and the quality of the pies. Nathan pays particularly close attention to the flavors. Garlo’s imports its spices to ensure the Aussie pie customers enjoy in Westwood is identical to what is served in Australia. There are many different pie options ranging from classic lean beef, sweet pies, breakfast pies, to the new chicken fajita pie. All pies can be accompanied by a choice of mashed potatoes and gravy, the Aussie classic mushy peas, or a side salad. Traditional Australian coffee is also available.

Garlo's is opened for breakfast, lunch and dinner with pies and savories ranging from $5 to $8, so it's a great place for a reasonably priced yet filling meal. Make sure to stop by to say G’Day, and do as the Aussie’s do, forgo the silverware and eat the pies with one hand!
